Luka Doncic was seen having the best of times with Bam Adebayo at Jordan brand's Board of Greatness event in Athens' Greece.

The Lakers have indirectly made it clear that they're now building their roster for and around Luka Doncic and not LeBron James.

LAS VEGAS — Cole Swider racked up a game-high 21 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 94-81 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA 2K26 Summer League on Saturday at Thomas & Mack Center.

If the younger James doesn't earn such a spot this coming season, he may have to do so with another organization. John Hollinger of The Athletic provided a reality check on the guard's contract situation and the possibility that this upcoming season may be his father's last with the Purple and Gold.

"When the Buss family agreed to sell a majority stake in the franchise to Mark Walter on June 18, Doncic was given a heads-up and notably posted a congratulations on social media afterward. James was not given the same notice and did not post any public acknowledgement afterward."

NBA Summer League slate features Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the New Orleans Pelicans and rookie Jeremiah Fears.

After being drafted No. 23 overall in 2019, the 25-year-old is looking to reassert himself as an NBA player after spending last season in China. Although it is Summer League, the Lakers still provide a platform for players to showcase their talents and that is what Bazley is on a mission to do.
