For years, Iga Swiatek never quite felt comfortable on Wimbledon's grass courts, never thought she could add a trophy there to her other Grand Slam triumphs. Oh, did that turn out to be wrong.

During the Wimbledon fortnight, a grinning Iga Swiatek was often caught on camera cramming dozens of official towels into her tennis bags, creating a running joke that 'Wimbledon's towel thief strikes again!

Kate, the Princess of Wales, handed out the trophy to Iga Swiatek and some consoling words to Amanda Anisimova after the women’s Wimbledon final.

Few would have predicted Iga Swiatek's best Grand Slam result so far this season would come at Wimbledon - including herself.

Iga Swiatek bulldozed her way to a maiden Wimbledon title on Saturday to take her Grand Slam tally to six and although the Pole preferred not to rank her wins, she said her latest one felt a little more special than the others.

Iga Swiatek has a routine she follows before she takes the court. She made that revelation after soundly defeating Belinda Bencic to make it to the Wimbledon final. She plays Amanda Anisimova on July 12.
