WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) — Construction crews are demolishing what remains of the Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center building, four and a half months after an explosion destroyed the facility.

A building in Wilmington that exploded after a vehicle crashed into it in August will be demolished. A driver crashed into a gas pipe near the building, causing the gas line to rupture and explode.
