North Korea's renewed military support for Russia comes as US President Donald Trump has resumed military supplies to Ukraine, after a brief hiatus. Trump told NBC News on Thursday that he had made a deal with Nato for the US to send Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine via the alliance, after a surge of Russian aerial attacks.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told Russia's top diplomat his country was ready to "unconditionally support" all actions taken by Moscow to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, state media reported on Sunday,

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said North Korea has affirmed its “clear support” for Russia’s war in Ukraine and for Kremlin leadership as he started a three-day visit to Pyongyang.

Poland on Saturday scrambled fighter jets in response to Russian military aircraft near its border with Ukraine.

Poland, together with allied countries, scrambled fighter jets during the night of July 12 in response to Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

President Donald Trump says the United States is selling weapons to its NATO allies in Europe so they can provide them to Ukraine as it struggles to fend off a recent escalation in Russia’s drone and missile attacks.
