2023年4月18日 · Welcome to the Working Canal Lock! The Idea. No matter on which vessel you're traveling the rivers and canals across the land, there will always be sections where the natural altitude differences have made it necessary to install locks to overcome them.

This modular building depicts a functional canal lock in an urban setting. You can turn the cog and see the water level in the canal rise using a clever worm gear mechanism! The canal lock is placed perpendicular to the street and there is an overpass for the minifigs of the city, filled with gorgeous greenery.

2024年1月9日 · This is a working model of a shipping lock. It's not based on any real lock, but the basic principle will be the same in many locks. By turning the wheel the water can be raised or lowered.

It features all the functionality of a real-life lock, including two working lock gates and a basin that can be elevated and declined.

2024年6月4日 · You need to connect to other modulars on either side with a continuous pavement, while having to go over the canal, leaving enough clearance for the boats and leaving space under for the mechanism. Finding a reliable and compact mechanism took a lot of work.

2023年7月3日 · The building has a hidden mechanism that controls the water (up / down) and 2 locks / gates are opened. The project includes 4 minifigures and 3 kayaks. On the platform there is also an information board, an employee's house and two trees.
