2024年11月27日 · The leaves turning brown are mostly ones that are on the periphery of the tree, and may have been right up against the frost cloth. I did put some bamboo sticks inside to create an air gap between the leaves and the cloth, but as you can see this is a very large tree so it likely wasn't a perfect job.

Concerning Landolphia sp as suggested by Gouralata, I looked for photos of brown fleshed fruits but the closest I got was this lovely drawing of one species. 2025年2月7日 · The Molix fruit are among the larger ones and also have a reddish tinge to the flesh when ripe. You can tell when the fruit is ready as the skin sheds it's rough texture and becomes smooth and papery. Biting into a ripe Molix Sapodilla reveals adequate firmness with some grit present. The moderately sweet flesh has a robust brown sugar taste.

2013年9月15日 · A fruit often splits because it gets too much water and the skin can only expand so much. The longer you leave a fruit to ripen will also likely split. Some varieties are more prone to split as well. How long do you leave the fruit after it fully flushes red? As for soft brown spots, it is likely bacterial or fungal in nature.

2017年1月3日 · When I eat the reddish brown ones I practically gag. The tree is probably 15 foot tall and 20 foot wide. One side produces more fruit. Last year I watered heavy and the fruit turned brown prematurely and I lost most of the fruit. It is the most maintenance free tree I have except for the pruning to try to manage it.
