Huge historic castle full of artistic treasures. Be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs, but it is worth it. Particular highlights for us were the modern glass collection, the incredible triple necked medieval guitars (Jimmy Page take note) and the decorative objects.

Il Castello Sforzesco è un grande complesso fortificato situato a Milano poco fuori dal centro storico della città. Fu eretto nel XV secolo da Francesco Sforza, divenuto da poco Duca di Milano, sui resti di una precedente fortificazione medievale del XIV secolo nota come Castello di Porta Giovia (o Zobia).

Free entry every first and third Tuesday from 14.00 and every first Sunday of the month. (Reservations are not possible on the first Sunday of the month).

Castello Sforzesco (Sforza Castle) was built as a fortress during the fourteenth century and is one of the most famous landmarks in Milan. Presently, it houses one of the best museums in the city.
