The group conducts research into European integration, with a focus on the institutional development, democratization, and policy-making of the European Union.

This Master's degree programme takes four semesters to complete. The curriculum concentrates on questions of democracy, political violence, political economy, and sustainable development. All courses are taught in English by a team of internatio­nally renowned professors.

As a field of study, it is divided into two branches, each with distinctive problems and with different though overlapping literatures.
