Ferenc Fricsay (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈfɛrɛnt͡s ˈfrit͡ʃɒi]; 9 August 1914 – 20 February 1963) was a Hungarian conductor. From 1960 until his death, he was an Austrian citizen.

Fricsay was born in Budapest in 1914. His music teachers were Hungary's most famous composers: Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály and Ernst von Dohnányi.

He became musical director of the RIAS Symphony Orchestra RIAS Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in Germany in 1949, and of the Houston Symphony Orchestra in 1954.
