Kilkerran Single Malt is produced at the historic Campbeltown distillery, Glengyle, originally founded by the Mitchell family and owned by the J&A Mitchell group since its re-build and resumption of production in 2004.

Glengyle distillery is a Scotch whisky production centre in Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute. It was opened in 1872, closing in 1925, and reopening in 2000. Its single malts are bottled under the name Kilkerran.

Glengyle Distillery. The old Glengyle buildings were no more than shells when the site was bought in 2000. Today, the interior of the main building has been filled by a modern, single level distillery designed by J&A Mitchell’s former production director Frank McHardy.

During this tour you’ll get the chance to visit Glengyle Distillery, the home of Kilkerran Single Malt. You will explore the history of the distillery before being guided through each stage of the whisky making process to discover what gives our Kilkerran whisky its unique character.

Glengyle is the third distillery beside Springbank and Glen Scoia that is still active in Campbeltown. "Active again" it should read, since Glengyle has been revived 2004 and is now producing the Kilkerran Single Malt Whisky.
