I'm doing a lot of research and the knock against Jeep's seems to be reliability and durability while Toyota in general (especially FJ Cruiser's) seem to be super reliable, lasting for hundreds of thousands of miles if cared for properly.

The off road capabilities are very different of course, but then again, a basic X model vs. a Rubicon is very different too.
