Large-sized kofun were constructed at various spots in Japan. Among burial accessories, military items such as horse gear, armors and swords increased. Unglazed ceramic ware ("sue" in Japanese) entered production in the southern part of present Osaka Prefecture. Horizontal stone chambers appeared in the northern part of Kyushu.
