Masjid Istiqlal Houston is a masjid initiated by Indonesian Muslim community in Greater Houston and is located in Sugar Land. Since being founded in 2015, our masjid has been a home to over 600 jama’ah - both Indonesian and non-Indonesian.

We are open for congregational 5 daily prayer and Friday prayer. Our timetable is viewable on the home page or conveniently on the Istiqlal app, downloadable from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Every Saturday, Istiqlal holds children, youth and adult activities and lectures prior to breaking the fast. Istiqlal also provides iftar daily and suhoor during the last 10 days of Ramadan

Istiqlal strives to bring both muslims and non-muslims to visit the masjid and fulfill the needs of the community through its variety of programs which encompasses religious, educational, social, and volunteering aspects.

Masjid Istiqlal Houston was established in July 2015 in Houston, Texas. We have a mission to provide a safe environment for Indonesian Muslims, as well as others within the broader American society, to strengthen their Islamic belief.
