Configuring a map in Zabbix requires that you first create a map by defining its general parameters and then you start filling the actual map with elements and their links. You can populate the map with elements that are a host, a host group, a trigger, an image, or another map.

I use Monitoring ⇾ Maps to create a network map from scratch. I show how to link the map icon to the host so that the host problems also appear on the graphical representation. Supported Macros.

Zabbix allows you to track on the map: Host states; Group state; Trigger states; Embedded maps; Download map background and custom icons. Loading of the background image of the map and the necessary pictograms is done through Administration → General, Images (in the right corner). Specify the type of content to download.
