2009年6月23日 · We like to let the wood dry out for a week or two in the 90+ degree heat to allow some of the treatment to evaporate/soak-in further and then apply stain or paint. Once the wood has dried a bit, it has the capability to absorb some of the finish beyond the surface, creating a much stronger adherence.

2008年7月5日 · Painting Pressure Treated Wood / Kiln Dried After Treatment I have 6 columns to replace on a 1930's porch. The columns are boxes made old growth SYP 1x4 on two sides and 1x6 on two sides. I'm thinking of replacing them using the same dimension materials using #1 SYP KDAT. Not the wet PT type wood. It's kiln dried after the PT.

2005年7月26日 · It's the moisture trying to escape. A lot of wood siding is installed without back-priming which prevents moisture from getting in the back side of the wood. Moisture enters the back, then lifts the paint as it tries to escape the front side. With treated wood, all of the moisture is still in the wood when you buy it.
