I see that there already is a thread regarding "Orange box icon meaning". It seems OneDrive is conflicting with dropbox, blocking synchronisation (I cannot open the files with that orange box icon from my computer). Problem is I do not use Onedrive and do not have it installed, which means I doubt uninstalling it will solve anything.

2. if there's no icon in place of the dropbox icon in the finder, it's only available online. 3. cloud icon in finder: an arrow down icon means it's downloading, no icon means it's "actually" downloaded. 4. the user can only assume that "real" offline access is available when the dropbox icon is offline available and the cloud icon is gone.

To answer your question, I wasn't able to open in the sys.tray nor the icon on my desktop. When I hover above the icon in the system tray it says "dropbox up to date" The dropbox on my smartphone works just fine and I have all my files there.
