It’s National Science Week and we’d like to share with you how we recycle your fluoro lights. After you drop them off at the Community Recycling Centre, a recycling machine crushes the tubes to separate the phosphor powder, glass, ceramic, metal and plastic. These materials are recycled into new products. Can you guess how many kilos of fluoros we recycled last year?
